Las Sevillanas de mi Caseta

... It's been for many years that all the artists who have participated in this recording, and some more who had wanted to participate, have met our friend Paco Lastra in his Fair's Caseta, in Seville. We want to dedicate this work in which we sing what it's sung in any Fair's evening to Paco, as a memory and gratefulness for his continuous interest in making us feel comfortable in 'his' and 'our' Caseta.

Agua de lluvia

After his first work "Sorpréndeme", this young artist from Utrera (Seville) presents his second release: "Agua de lluvia", plenty of good musicians, good authors, good friends and a good load of illusion and freshness, who make feel the heat, the force and the "compás" of our music in a special way.

"Agua de lluvia" is made up of ten tracks mastered by Jesus Lavilla and David Montoya; A bonus track: "No", in which David makes a live rumba version of the famous bolero of Armando Manzanero; and the videoclip of its previous success "Sorpréndeme", recorded with the school of dance of Córdoba (Andalusia).

PRESAGIO, a group coming from Jerez de la Fra., formed by Rosario Loreto, "Coco" for friends, Juana la Chicharrona's grandaughter, and by Curro Santos, whose art has been inherited from his parents, Manuel e Isabel, who were a guitarrist and a singer, respectively.

LIPSTICK FUNK

...on the radio

This is the most daring musical proyect of the musical scene in our country. Written and produced by Lipstick, the album has been recorded entirely in Spain and it is on sale from the last 15th of July with the title "On the radio".

Lipstick is a nickname, an imaginary name of an alter ego from which the artist Joss makes use of to give free rein to some creative needs which are apart from the requirements and limitations of the present discographic industry.

These six phenomena move us to that golden age of the song, in a very particular way, adapting the words to new sounds and converting the night in a pure Sideral Party.

        In this, their first CD, they have included themes like: La, la, la, Corazón contento, Es muy fácil, Un rayo de sol, ... among others, all of them thought of in order to wake people not only in gigs but in any party where Micky Bautista is listened to.

"El Cuchara y su familia" offer us their second CD called "Siempre Gitano", which has been recorded in a record studio, but leaving them at their own, in a direct way, in order to get such a freshness and spontaneity which can only be achieved in the origin of Flamenco music: "La Fiesta".

This CD has joined the "Old Gipsy voices" (Pepa de Dolores, Fernanda del Marquesito, Bernarda de Utrera...) with the "New Flamenco" generation (Las Cucharitas, Tere Peña, Inés...), obtaining a unique and outstanding job for the traditional contribution of the woman as singer in the Flamenco art. There sings "Pepa la de Dolores", a gipsy woman aged 80, who shows her Flameco heritage.

"Me Embrujaste" (You enchanted me), its seventh work, it has seen the light due to the strong desire of the artist to register his way of making and feeling those "Coplas" he has been listening to since he was a child. Songs like "Ojos Verdes", "Me Embrujaste", "Los Piconeros", "La Biempagá", "Trece de Mayo", etc, have a special touch in this man's voice,who sings this genre, "La Copla", like anyone else.

Manuel Jiménez Ramírez "Manuel de Angustias" has edited this CD being 78 years old, showing his masterinship performing the purest and gipsiest "Flamenco School".

BERNARDA DE UTRERA

Bernarda Jiménez Peña, universal gipsy. She and her sister Fernanda, constitute the oldest and richest bastion in Flamenco. She has been recognized and prized millions of times because of her "art". At her 72 years old, Pinini's grandaughter give us her last album as a testimony of her flamenco wisdom.

      This work has been considered as the best Flamenco CD in the first edition of Premios de la Música de Andalucía 2000

Antonio Peña Otero "El Cuchara" is the Gipsy "Father" of a multitudious family (14 sons and daughters), where everyone sings and dances, from the grandfather (aged 70) to the youngest grandson (aged 9). This recording shows on a direct way the purest Bulería and Fiesta Gitana background.

Inés Suárez Jiménez "Inés", heiress of a notorial flamenco family, niece of "Fernanda & Bernarda of Utrera". She is, at the present time, one of the best expounders of the New Flamenco, outstanding "bulerías" singer.

Great expert and singer of the "Cante Flamenco". He is National Prize in 1.956 of the "Flamenco Art Contest in Córdoba". He is 70 and shows us his magnificent voice and the purest flamenco knowledge.

José Domínguez "Sanlu", a young "cantaor" from Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz), is well known in the flamenco world due to his work together with manolo sanlucar in the show called "Tauromaquia". In this, his first work,he has José Miguel Évora's support in the musical arrangements.
